Inter Miami CF (7W-2L-3D, 24 points) is set to hit the road for its upcoming MLS regular season fixture this weekend, with the team traveling north to take on CF Montréal (3W-4L,3D, 12 points) this Saturday, May 11. Kick off at Stade Saputo is slated for 7:30 p.m. ET.

Yet another historic appearance from Lionel Messi led the team to victory on the night, with our captain tallying a goal and five assists to make MLS history by becoming the first player to register five assists in a match, and first to have six goal contributions in a game. Striker Luis Suárez’s first hat trick in MLS and a brace from second-half substitute Matías Rojas – his first Inter Miami goals – sealed the team’s dominant performance.

MLS Team of the Matchday Honors and Player of the Matchday Honors

Messi, Suárez and Rojas were named to the Team of the Matchday for Matchday 12 of the 2024 MLS regular season. Messi once again featured in the starting XI, marking his fifth consecutive, and seventh overall TOTM selection this season. Suárez earned his place in the starting lineup for his third Team of the Matchday selection, while Rojas made his TOTM debut after what was just his second MLS appearance.

Additionally, Messi was voted the MLS Player of the Matchday for Matchday 12 of the 2024 regular season.
