Memphis, Tenn. – Memphis 901 FC announced on Thursday the club has signed midfielder Alvaro Quezada to a multi-year contract, pending league and federation approval.

“We had Alvaro on trial with us during the season last year. He is solid defensively, good on the ball, and his character is exactly what we are looking for within our group,” Assistant Sporting Director Caleb Patterson Sewell said. “We look forward to Alvaro having a strong preseason and pushing for minutes this season.”


Quezada was selected 68th overall in the 2021 MLS SuperDraft by Los Angeles FC out of University of California, Irvine, then moved to Las Vegas Lights FC for the 2021 and 2022 seasons.

The versatile 24-year-old had four goals and six assists in 48 USL Championship appearances over two seasons playing multiple positions.

Memphis 901 FC opens the 2024 Regular Season at AutoZone Park on March 9, 2024. Season Tickets are available now.
