One Knoxville SC has completed the signing of defender DJ Benton, pending league and federation approval.
The 24-year-old joins One Knoxville SC after spending last season with North Carolina FC, where he featured in 28 games for the 2023 League One Champions.
The right-sided fullback will be added to McKeever’s roster ahead of the 2024 season. Coach McKeever says “DJ brings great athleticism, great pace, and has the ability to provide product at both ends of the field.” He continued to state “DJ has been to the League One finals twice in as many years, winning of course last year. This in itself is a valuable asset for us.”
DJ Benton says he is “super excited for what this 2024 Knoxville team will accomplish.” He says “There are lots of positives to build on from last season and already a lot of great additions.” Just like the rest of us, he says he cannot wait to get started.
