Revel vs PSG – Coupe de France: TV channel, team news, lineups and prediction

Milan Skriniar

Paris Saint-Germain begin their bid to secure another domestic honour on Sunday when they visit Revel in the Coupe de France.

This last-32 tie sees PSG travel to south-west France to take on Revel, who sit in the sixth tier of nation’s league football pyramid, the Regional 1. A wonderful video of the squad reacting to the draw went viral when they found out they would be facing the biggest team in the country and one of the best in Europe.

PSG come into this one having just won a different trophy. They beat Toulouse 2-0 in the Trophee des Champions final with a hardly thrilling display, but Les Parisiens got the job done and will now turn their attention to the Coupe de France.

Here’s all you need to know about Revel vs PSG on Sunday night.

PSG’s injury situation is not as serious as it was earlier in the season when a number of key players were sidelined, but it’s still not ideal. The latest player to suffer was Milan Skriniar, who went down against Toulouse and is at risk of missing the rest of the season.

Beyond Skriniar, Pascal Kimpembe, Sergio Rico, Nuno Mendes, Fabian Ruiz and Arnau Tenas are all out of the frame. There is a good chance new signing Lucas Beraldo will start in the defence after his appearance from the bench in midweek.

PSG predicted lineup vs Revel (4-3-3): Navas; Mukiele, Marquinhos, Beraldo, Kurzawa; E. Mbappe, Danilo, Soler; Kolo Muani, Ramos, Barcola.

As wonderful as it would be to see a sixth-tier side knock PSG out of the Coupe de France, you simply can’t bet on it happening.

PSG will rotate their team and some less familiar names will start, but even if things were to go awry for Luis Enrique’s side, they can put Kylian Mbappe on and it will probably all be fine. Expect a dominant victory for the defending champions.

Prediction: Revel 0-5 PSG
