Since leaving Manchester United in the January transfer window following his fallout with Erik Ten Hag, Sancho has played a pivotal role in helping Borussia Dortmund reach their first Champions League final since 2013.

The 24-year-old English international put on a dazzling display as his side sent Kylian Mbappe and Co crashing out of the Champions League, after the visitors won 1-0 thanks to a header from seasoned veteran Mat Hummels.

Their 2-0 aggregate win over PSG means Edin Terzic‘s side return to the Champions League for the first time in eleven years where they will face either Bayern Munich or Real Madrid at Wembley. 

Although many Manchester United fans may have a bitter taste in their mouths seeing a United loanee reaching new heights outside of Old Trafford, it isn’t a complete loss from a financial aspect.

Manchester United have already benefited from Sancho’s return to Germany after the Londoner was ostracised by Erik Ten Hag earlier in the year after their public fallout.

Dortmund handed United £3million for the return of Sancho to Signal Iduna Park plus an agreement to pay a chunk of his wages for his mid-season transfer.

The Red Devils are expected to receive even further compensation after it was revealed that the two clubs have an agreement in place, where the German outfit would pay the Manchester side…
