Leicester City goalkeeper Daniel Iversen has undergone a medical with Stoke City today.
Mail Sport revealed Stoke had made an approach for the Dane earlier this week and a loan deal for the rest of the season is close to being finalised.
Leicester rejected an offer of around £4million from Crystal Palace last summer for Iversen and have been awaiting fresh offers for this window.
The 26-year old finished last season as Leicester’s number one but relegation and the arrival of new coach Enzo Maresca saw the first team adopt a different approach with fellow Dane Mads Hermansen brought in as their new number one.
Iversen’s valuation had deterred other suitors late in the summer window and he has since been left on the periphery eager to get first team game time again and hopes that can happen under Steven Schumacher at Stoke.

Stoke who face Brighton in the FA Cup tomorrow need experience with Mark Travers having been recalled from his loan by Bournemouth.
They are understood to have paid a small loan fee for Iversen who will have a year left on contract at Leicester at the end of this season.
Iversen was due to train with Stoke today before they take a decision on what role he can play against Brighton.
