Everton are thinking about giving a former Manchester United star another shot at Premier League football.
The Toffees are in the market for cut-price options and the top-flight castaway, who was released from another club in the summer, could be an alluring option.
Sean Dyche‘s men have been plunged back into the thick of the relegation maul after three defeats on the bounce but must tread carefully due to Premier League spending rules, having already been hit with a ten-point ban.

The player in question is Jesse Lingard.
Lingard was part of Nottingham Forest’s successful survival squad last campaign but flattered to deceive and was released after netting twice in 20 games.
He had trials with Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia but a contract did not come to fruition and since then the 31-year-old has been training alone.
After an association with Manchester United spanning more than two decades, his Premier League career looked in tatters in 2020/21 when he fell out of favour and didn’t make a single league appearance in half a season.
