Kylian Mbappe declined to discuss his future at Paris Saint-Germain insisting it will eventually be ‘resolved one day’.

The Frenchman has long been linked with a move away from Ligue 1, with Real Madrid top of the list of potential destinations.

Last year Mbappe signed a new two-year deal with PSG with the option of an extra year to 2025 that only he could activate, but that has hardly quelled the rumours he may leave the Parc des Princes. 

But speaking after scoring a hat-trick in France’s historic 14-0 thrashing of Gibraltar on Saturday night, the 24-year-old insisted he did not want to discuss his future.

‘It’s something I don’t want to talk about, especially since I already did it in June and it took up a big part of the time with the national team,’ he told Telefoot.

‘I want us to talk more about the national team, rather than me talking about something that will be resolved one day, so there will be time to talk about that.’

The saga over Mbappe’s future has been rumbling on for over two years now, with Real refusing to give up their chase for the 2018 World Cup winner.

The Spanish giants had two bids for Mbappe in the region of £140million knocked back in the summer of 2021 and he came close to join them on a free transfer after his contract expired last year.

After informing PSG bosses he would not be signing a new deal, Mbappe eventually made a late U-turn and signed a two-year extension.

His future came to the fore again in the summer when Mbappe was exiled from PSG’s squad after he told the club he would not exercise his option to remain in Paris for a further 12 months.

That would effectively leave PSG vulnerable to losing the most valuable player in the world on a free transfer next…
