TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The No. 24 ranked Alabama soccer team (12-4-5) will face No. 13 ranked North Carolina (11-1-8) on Friday in the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament. Competing as a six seed, Alabama will kick off against the third-seeded Tar Heels at 2:30 p.m. CT at the John Walker Soccer Complex in Lubbock, Texas.
The Crimson Tide advanced to the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament for the third consecutive year with a 2-0 win over Western Carolina. Alabama and North Carolina will meet for the second time this season and the first time ever in the NCAA Tournament. The Tide and Tar Heels recorded a 1-1 draw earlier this season.
