LONG BEACH, Calif. – Senior graduate student Megan Day was honored by Top Drawer Soccer this week as she was an honorary member of the women’s team of the week for the week of November 14th.
The Top-Drawer Soccer Team of the Week is a highly competitive selection that features some of the best collegiate soccer players from across the nation. To be named to this elite group is a testament to Day’s outstanding skills and contributions to the sport.
Day, a native of La Mirada, California has been a massive addition to State’s women’s soccer program since she arrived on campus. Her skill, dedication, and passion for the game have made her a key piece of the defense for the Bulldogs, and her recent performance has not gone unnoticed.
Last time on the pitch, Day played the full 110 minutes and was a menace on defense. Day’s contributions to the defense were significant as she provided constant pressure to allow the Bulldogs to advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
Megan Day and the rest of the Bulldog Squad will be back in action Friday as they take on the Brown Bears in Stanford, California.
