NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Five Commodores earned All-SEC recognition as announced by the conference office Sunday morning.
Maya Antoine, Abi Brighton and Hannah McLaughlin earned second-team selections while Ella Eggleston and Courtney Jones earned spots on the All-Freshman team.
Antoine and McLaughlin anchored the Vanderbilt defense and helped lead the Commodores to nine shutouts. Brighton helped command the offense which had 31 goals and 28 assists for 90 points. All three started in all 18 games for Vanderbilt this season and saw over 4,500 minutes of action.
This is Antoine’s third All-SEC selection while McLaughlin was named to the 2022 All- Freshman team last season. Additionally, this is the first honor for Brighton since being named to the 2020 All-Freshman team.
Jones earned All-Freshman team recognition after starting in all 18 games and contributing four goals and three assists for 11 points. Eggleston appeared in all 18 games (eight starts) and added five goals—highlighted by game winners against Texas A&M and Missouri—and two assists for 12 points.
Vanderbilt finished the 2023 campaign 8-5-5.
