Maddy Rhodes Named to SEC Soccer Community Service Team



Florida’s Maddy Rhodes helps a child as part of the 2022 Gators Tracks program, which distributes shoes and socks to children in the Gainesville area. Since fall of 2022, Rhodes has contributed more than 62 community service hours, which earned her a spot on the 2023 Southeastern Conference Community Service Team.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Redshirt junior Maddy Rhodes represents Florida on the Southeastern Conference Soccer Community Service Team. The league office announced the 14 representatives today for the league’s 19th annual SEC Community Service Team.
 
The SEC takes submissions based on the good deeds and volunteering that the student athletes do around the community while at their respective schools.
 
Rhodes Community Service:
Rhodes volunteered more than 62 hours for community service events since fall of 2022. Many of her activities were through the Campus Multi-Faith Cooperative and the Awana Ministry Children’s Church.
 
Rhodes wrapped and made several shoes and socks deliveries as part of the Gator Tracks program, which distributed more than 400 shoes/socks to Gainesville area youth in December of 2022. She was a frequent participate in mentoring and reading programs at Lake Forest Elementary School, serving as a role model for the youth of Gainesville. She also worked with children at last spring’s Gators Field Day.
