Allen, Texas – Dallas Sidekicks’ General Manager, Jessie Vilkofsky has announced that she has accepted a position with the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) team, the Houston Dash. Vilkofsky is excited to take on a new opportunity and is one step closer to her dream job which is being in a senior management position with a NWSL team.

Vilkofsky has been with the Sidekicks since the Summer of 2021 and started as the Director of Operations before quickly becoming the Director of Sales and Marketing.

“I still remember my first official day when I went to the storage unit to get a complete inventory of the merchandise, memorabilia, and equipment. After I completed it, I felt so accomplished. That was as Director of Operations,” said Vilkofsky about her first day.

About a year later, she was announced as the General Manager and was the first female GM in the MASL and in Sidekicks’ history.

“As a General Manager, I was celebrating a great player negotiation, bringing the dreams of playing professional soccer to a reality for our guys, our front office team surpassing ticket sales milestones and attendance goals, building beautiful partnerships with community members to make a positive impact, and getting to know all the players on a more personal level,” Vilkofsky said.

Sidekicks President Jesse Llamas when asked about Vilkofsky’s time at the Sidekicks, “We are sad to see such a vital person in our organization go, but we are happy at the same time because we know that she is moving on up in the sports business world and is one step closer to her dream job.”

“I sit today with undeniable confidence and poise in my abilities to be a part of the sports business world and make a difference. The Sidekicks organization allowed me to feel comfortable to fail, confident to challenge, and supported in developing new ways for us to enhance and develop the overall brand. My boss, Jesse Llamas, played a crucial role in my development. I am grateful I got to work alongside him for two years”, said Vilkofsky.

President Llamas also commented, “The past few seasons we’ve had former employees move from the Sidekicks to their dream leagues as Jessie has. There’s no doubt in my mind that the remaining and future staff members will be in the same position in the coming years.”
