DWS Freshman Spotlight: Mia Minestrella

DURHAM — Duke women’s soccer program will welcome another standout recruiting class to the mix in 2023 as head coach Robbie Church and his staff landed the No. 6 overall class. During the spring, GoDuke.com will be spotlighting each of the eight newcomers.

The seventh incoming freshman that will be spotlighted is Mia Minestrella, who is a 5-8 forward from Redondo Beach, Calif. She attends Redondo Union High School and plays for Beach FC club team.  Minestrella is the No. 14 ranked player in the 2023 class by TopDrawerSoccer and has extensive experience playing with U.S. Women’s Soccer national teams.



GoDuke.com: Tell us about your soccer game and what you hope to bring to Duke?

Mia Minestrella:
  I am a relentless forward that likes to score goals; something I hope to bring to Duke is my relentless mentality.

Winning CIF with my high school team

  Beach volleyball and basketball
