LA Galaxy II Announce 2023 Preseason Match Schedule

TUKWILA, Wash. – Playing their seventh match of the 2023 campaign, LA Galaxy II fell 3-1 on the road to the Tacoma Defiance at Starfire Stadium on Sunday night. LA Galaxy II forward Aaron Bibout scored his team-leading fourth goal of the season in the loss to Tacoma.


LA Galaxy Academy

Seven players with ties to the LA Galaxy Academy started in the match against Tacoma: Carson Klein, Marcus Ferkranus, Matteo Carbone, Adrián González, Adam Saldaña, Alex Alcalá, Jonathan Pérez, Brandon Téllez and Matteo Carbone. Additionally, three players with ties to the LA Galaxy Academy appeared as substitutes against the Defiance: Juan Calderón, Diego López and Brandon Téllez.

Goal-Scoring Plays

TAC – Hal Uderitz (Penalty Kick), 42nd minute: Hal Uderitz’s low penalty kick into the left side of the goal just squeezed by LA Galaxy II goalkeeper Simon Jillson.

TAC – Paul Rothrock, 68th minute: After Simon Jillson made the initial save on a shot from the edge of the six-yard box, the rebound fell to Paul Rothrock, who fired his half-volleyed shot into the back of the net.

LA – Aaron Bibout (Penalty Kick), 78th minute: After Alex Alcalá earned a penalty due to forcing a handball in the box, Aaron Bibout stepped up to the spot and drilled his penalty-kick attempt into the lower left corner of the goal.

TAC – Braudilio Rodrigues (Paul Rothrock), 80th minute: Braudilio Rodrigues received a pass from Paul Rothrock and his shot from just outside the six-yard box was struck into the lower right corner.
