The Ones Who Hate to Lose:Under head coach Alen Marcina, SAFC is 11-1-3 in the first match back after a loss. The lone set of consecutive losses came in 2020, with SAFC going 10-0-3 since with a +15 goal differential. Last season, SAFC was 5-0-0 after a loss, with two shutouts and a +7 goal differential.
All About Alen: Since the start of the 2020 season, only Neill Collins in Tampa Bay has led his squad to more points than Alen Marcina with SAFC, with the Rowdies holding a slim lead at 176-174. In four seasons at the helm of SAFC, Marcina has seen the side to the playoffs each season, set club records for points and wins last season, won the USL Championship Title and has the most points in the Western Conference in the span.
Strike First, Strike Hard:Since the start of 2022, the club is 30-0-6 when scoring, 27-0-1 when scoring first and 19-0-2 when scoring multiple goals. Dating back to 2021, SAFC is unbeaten in the last 49 matches (42-0-7) when scoring first. When scoring first, SAFC has a +70 goal differential and 27 clean sheets since the start of 2021.
