Chelsea have Prem rivals for Neymar as Barca's Messi plan takes shape

Chelsea will move again for Neymar but one other Premier League club is also keen. PSG are set to lose Lionel Messi too as Barca reach for more levers…

CHELSEA TO RENEW NEYMAR INTEREST
Neymar could be on his way out of PSG this summer so of course Chelsea are interested.

The Mirror says the Brazilian could be one of the victims of a new approach in Paris, with the Ligue 1 leaders keen to sign younger players and develop their own talent at the new academy they are opening.

Neymar remains the most expensive player ever following his £198million move from Barcelona in 2017 but after another season ravaged by injuries, the 31-year-old is set to be made available by PSG. Todd Boehly has already enquired about the forward’s situation and the Chelsea owner could renew his interest in the megastar, who is also said to be a target for one other Premier League club.

BARCA TO SELL FIVE, PULL MORE LEVERS TO FUND MESSI RETURN
Lionel Messi is also likely to be on his way this summer upon the expiry of his contract at PSG.

Barcelona want to re-sign their former star and Messi would willingly return to the Nou Camp but the Catalans remain an economic sh*tshow.

The Daily Mail reckons Barca would need to raise £88million through player sales this summer to afford to bring Messi back as a free-agent, which Mundo Deportivo suggests could be done by shifting Ferran Torres, Ansu Fati, Eric Garcia, Franck Kessie and Raphinha, but even that won’t be enough. Joan Laporta would also have to pull another ‘economic lever’ which would probably involve selling off a percentage of their merchandising and licensing arm.

Barca are already unable to register new deals for Gavi, Alejandro Balde and Ronald Araujo because of a shortfall of around £175million. But are keen to offer Messi a two-year contract worth £10.6million a season after tax.

MILAN EYE ENGLAND DEFENDER
It was a good week for AC Milan and Juventus, with the Rossoneri reaching the Champions League final, and Juve having their 15-point penalty for financial irregularities reversed. To celebrate, they each want to treat themselves to veteran Premier League defenders.

The Times says Milan are keen to take Kyle Walker. The 32-year-old will enter the final year of his contract at Manchester City this summer and no discussions have taken place over a possible renewal.
