Women’s Soccer Holds 15th Annual Fan Appreciation Clinic – University of South Carolina Athletics

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The South Carolina women’s soccer team hosted its 15th annual Fan Appreciation Clinic on Tuesday, April 4. The FREE clinic was for girls ages 5-12 and and ran from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Stone Stadium, as a thank you to fans for their support all season. More than 300 were in attendance.

“We had a tremendous turnout for the clinic,” head coach Shelley Smith said. “We are thankful for the fans that attended and the support they show throughout the year. This evening gives us a chance to interact with so many, especially with the younger players. Our college players have a chance to give back and share their love for the game with so many young girls in the community. We are always thrilled to see the younger players so excited about playing the game and also their love for this team! It was a great time for all involved and we can’t wait to have those supporters back in the stands this fall!”

The clinic included instruction from South Carolina coaches and players, and also included a team scrimmage. The night wrapped up with a raffle and player autographs.
