FORT WORTH, Texas – The Texas A&M soccer team plays its lone road exhibition match of the spring Sunday when the Aggies battle the TCU Horned Frogs at Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium.
Match time is slated for noon.
Texas A&M has played four 60-minute “mini-matches” this spring, posting a 2-1-1 mark with wins over Oklahoma and Lamar and a tie against LSU. The Aggies have allowed just two goals in the 240 minutes of play for a 0.75 goals-against average. Texas A&M is outshooting opponents 54-17 in the spring.
The teams continue their rivalry the upcoming fall, marking the fourth consecutive season for the series. Texas A&M owns a 13-2 edge in the series, but the Horned Frogs have won the last two matches by identical 2-1 tallies.
TCU was 14-5-5 last season, finishing second in the Big 12 with a 5-1-3 mark. The Horned Frogs advanced to the Sweet 16 before getting bounced by Notre Dame, 2-0.
The Aggies’ 2022 campaign ended with a 9-7-5 mark as head coach G Guerrieri became the fifth NCAA Division I coach to reach the 500-win plateau.
