Sutton hails Arsenal star as best in the world and ranks him ahead of Liverpool man

Chris Sutton believes that Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka is the best right-winger in the world as he ranks him above the likes of Mohamed Salah and Riyad Mahrez.

Saka has been in dazzling form for Arsenal this season and has played a key role in their Premier League campaign.

The Arsenal winger was on target for England against Ukraine with a superb strike from outside the box.

In the Premier League this season, Saka has 12 goals and 10 assists. He is one of only five players in Europe’s top leagues to have double figures in goals and assists this season.

Given his recent displays, Sutton thinks that Saka is the best in the business right now in his position.

“Saka is winning the battle on the right. Salah has not been the same footballing force for Liverpool this season,” Sutton told Mail Plus.

“Mahrez is incredibly talented for Man City but I would rank Saka ahead of him. And I won’t be taking any suggestions of Antony seriously — the United man probably has Saka posters hanging on his bedroom wall.”

Taking this season in isolation, it’s hard to argue against Saka being one of the best players in his position.

Salah himself does have 18 goal contributions in the Premier League, but he hasn’t quite been firing on all cylinders this year.

Fellow Arsenal teammate Oleksandr Zinchenko was full of praise for Saka after they played against each other at the weekend.

“I am not going to be the guy who is going to judge,” Zinchenko told Hayters TV after the match.

“Definitely, he’s one of them, that’s for sure. I wish for him to be in this form until the end of the season because he’s such an important player for Arsenal.

“In these kinds of games, the big players decide the games, so they had two chances, obviously, in the first half, they scored two and, afterwards, it was difficult to create something.

“He’s an amazing player. We knew that. He’s on fire, at the moment and I wish him that until the end of the season. There is no friends on the pitch, unfortunately, he did me, but I will take revenge.”

Saka will have a large role to play for Arsenal in the final months of the Premier League season.

The Gunners currently hold an eight point lead over Manchester City, but have tough tests against the likes of Liverpool, City and Chelsea to come.
