LA Galaxy II Announce 2023 Preseason Match Schedule

SAN JOSE, Calif. – In their 2023 MLS NEXT Pro Regular-Season opener, LA Galaxy II fell 3-0 on the road to Earthquakes II at PayPal Park on March 26.

LA Galaxy II Debuts

Eight players made their professional and LA Galaxy II debuts against Earthquakes II: Goalkeeper Simon Jillson, defenders Allan Legaspi and Elijah Amadin, midfielder Diego López and forwards Aaron Bibout, Ruben Ramos Jr., Julian Placias and Sergio Villalpando.


LA Galaxy Academy

Three current LA Galaxy Academy players started in the match against Earthquakes II: defenders Riley Dalgado and Allan Legaspi and forward Ruben Ramos Jr. Additionally, 11 players with ties to the LA Galaxy Academy appeared in 2023 regular-season opener: Dalgado, Carson Klein, Legaspi, Adam Saldaña, Adrián González, Ramos Jr., Juan Calderón, Jonathan Pérez, Diego López, Alex Alcalá and Julian Placias.

Goal-Scoring Plays

SJ – Ousseni Bouda, 25th minute: A low cross into the center of the penalty area found Ousseni Bouda, who converted his driven shot at the far post.

SJ – Will Richmond, 30th minute: In transition, Ousseni Bouda’s shot from the right-edge of the six-yard box struck the underside of the crossbar. The rebound fell to Will Richmond, who headed in the ball from close range.

SJ – Martin Kwende (Will Richmond), 83rd minute: On the right flank, Will Richmond’s pass towards the left side of the penalty area found Martin Kwende, who converted his goal from inside the six-yard box.

Postgame Notes
