Reports of Salah wanting to leave brutally quashed by 30-year-old’s agent

Mohamed Salah is reportedly willing to leave Liverpool as he seeks a new adventure with a ‘major European club’.

The 30-year-old penned a new three-year contract last summer to end speculation over his future.

That is what we thought, anyway, with rumours of a move elsewhere going into overdrive over the last few months.

French champions Paris Saint-Germain have been strongly linked with Salah with Liverpool struggling in the Premier League.

The Reds were knocked out of the Champions League earlier this week, meaning the only way they will play in the competition next season is if they finish in the top four, which seems unlikely at this moment in time.

Newcastle United are back in form after a torrid run, while Brighton have plenty of momentum, which is something Jurgen Klopp’s side have struggled to gain this term.

Tottenham, meanwhile, currently occupy the final Champions League place with Manchester United expected to qualify for Europe’s premier competition comfortably.

Given Liverpool’s struggles, plenty of reports suggest Salah is willing to leave the club at the end of 2022-23.

Salah is apparently ‘increasingly thinking of leaving the Reds’ as he ‘clearly feels Liverpool are at the end of the cycle’.

Despite recently signing a new contract, the Egyptian forward is ‘wondering about his future’ amid links of a move to PSG.

Aouna’s ‘information’ is that Salah is ‘thinking more and more about a departure’ and is ‘not hiding’ his desire to leave.

The 30-year-old is hoping to repeat Sadio Mane – who joined Bayern Munich last summer – by joining a ‘European giant’, which would ‘give new meaning to his career’.

Although PSG have been linked more than any other club, it is believed that Salah’s preference would be to play in Spain.

Given Barcelona’s financial problems, a move to Spain probably means a move to Real Madrid.

Los Blancos remain interested in PSG’s Kylian Mbappe, however, and have been investing in younger players a lot more in recent transfer windows.

And given how bad Eden Hazard has been since his £105million move from Chelsea, it would be surprising to see them go in for the former AS Roma star.

The Foot Mercato report looks like it could be a load of rubbish, however…

Salah’s agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, responded to the article on Twitter, quote tweeting Aouna’s post.

He basically called it out as bulls**t,…
