Mount told best choice of Man Utd or Liverpool, where he’d ‘join in with front three’ alongside star man

Mason Mount, Chelsea, February 2023

Dean Saunders believes either Manchester United or Liverpool “should sign” Mason Mount, but “he should go” to the latter, to “slot in and join in with the front three” along with potentially Jude Bellingham.

Mount has been a consistent performer for the Blues since coming through the ranks of the academy. Indeed, he has directly contributed to at least 12 league goals in each of his three seasons before this term.

His best tally came last season, when he bagged 11 league goals alongside 10 assists. As such, it would appear that he’s an important member of the side.

“I think he should go to Liverpool. You could slot him in there to join in with the front three, get him the ball, he’s got a good football brain,” Saunders added.

“Imagine Liverpool had Bellingham and Mount in midfield. Two good players, but you’ve got to put your hand in your pocket.”

Indeed, signing both stars will not be cheap. However, it would give the Reds the midfield revamp they’ve been crying out for throughout this season.

The stars would be a good duo to pair up in the midfield. However, if…
