Smith Earns Aggies’ 12th Man Award - Texas A&M Athletics


BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Senior Jai Smith received Texas A&M soccer’s 12th Man Award for her positive attitude and wealth of contributions as a reserve player.
 
Smith appeared in all 21 players, all off the bench. She registered seven points on two goals and three assists. The native of Hayward, California, produced the game-winning goal against South Alabama.
 

It marked Smith’s second 12th Man Award. She also earned the distinction during the Maroon & White’s elongated 2020-21 campaign the Aggies won the SEC regular-season title and advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Championship.
 

In her three seasons at Texas A&M, Smith logged 10 points on two goals and six assists. She graduated last December with a degree in university studies – business.
 
The Aggies’ 2022 campaign ended with a 9-7-5 mark as head coach G Guerrieri became the fifth NCAA Division I coach to reach the 500-win plateau.
