Thorns FC Announce Five Re-Signings Ahead of 2023 Season

March 7, 2023 – National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL)Portland Thorns FC News Release

PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland Thorns FC announced today that defender Chaylyn Hubbard and midfielder Sydney Pulver, who were in preseason training camp as non-roster invitees, are no longer with the club. Entering the preseason tournament, Thorns FC have a total of 27 players in preseason camp.


Portland will kick off the tournament on Sunday, March 12, against Racing Louisville FC; kickoff is set for 5 p.m. (Pacific) at Providence Park. Continuing play in the tournament, Thorns FC will take on the U.S. U-23s on March 15 before concluding the tournament against OL Reign on March 18. Both matches are set to begin at 7:30 p.m. (Pacific). None of the tournament matches will be streamed.

Midfielders (7): Sam Coffey, Crystal Dunn, Olivia Moultrie, Taylor Porter, Rocky Rodríguez, Christine Sinclair, Hina Sugita (INTL)

Forwards (8): Janine Beckie, Natalie Beckman, Hannah Betfort, Izzy D’Aquila (DRAFT), Lauren DeBeau (DRAFT), Sophia Smith, Michele Vasconcelos, Morgan Weaver
