CARY, N.C. – The North Carolina Football Club and Town of Cary have reached an agreement with Unique Food and Beverage (UFB) to become the concessionaire for events at WakeMed Soccer Park.
The partnership allows for more than double the previous number of points of service, based on need. UFB is opening more windows at the existing concession stands and adding new stands in the southwest and northeast corners of the stadium. Food trucks will be on site throughout the season both on the concourse and at the newly designed FanFest on the north side of the stadium.
“Revamping our concessions was a big priority for the club this offseason, based on our internal evaluations and the feedback from fans throughout last season. We are excited about our partnership with UFB, whose expertise will bring new menu items, ordering processes and more to improve the fan experience,” said club president Francie Gottsegen.
“Partnering with small to mid-major size stadiums within the Mid-Atlantic has been our niche since the beginning. In 2021, we developed a strategic plan for expansion. Now that Unique Food and Beverage is partnering with the NCFC here in Cary, North Carolina, we are excited to bring our concessions technology and efficiencies to better the fan experience at WakeMed Soccer Park,” said President of Unique Food and Beverage, Inc. The increase in points of service allows for varied and efficient menus including grab-and-go options. UFB will bring a streamlined and efficient ordering process to help lines move faster. Mobile ordering will be introduced this season for added convenience.
The new partnership brings back fountain soda and draft beer, promises higher quality food choices and introduces options from local breweries and restaurants that will make WakeMed Soccer Park truly feel like home.
Unique Food and Beverage began in 2005 with the mission of providing high-quality, efficient food services and facilities management. The Maryland-based company has worked inside RFK Stadium, FedEx Field, several Minor League Baseball parks, Division I basketball arenas and more. They were found during a national search that spanned several months to find the best option for the fan experience at WakeMed Soccer Park.
