‘Should be sacked’ – Pundit blasts Graham Potter and calls for drastic change at Chelsea

Chelsea v Southampton - Premier League - Stamford Bridge Chelsea Manager Graham Potter during the Premier League match against Southampton.

Gabriel Agbonlahor has gone in on Chelsea manager Graham Potter after his side fell to another disappointing defeat against Southampton.

The pressure is continuing to mount on the former Brighton manager as Chelsea have continued to struggle under their new boss.

Chelsea currently sit 10th in the Premier League and have only picked up 31 points so far this season.

Scoring goals has been Chelsea’s major problem and Southampton managed to keep them at arms length over the weekend.

Following their latest loss, Potter told reporters: “We’re not happy with the results that we’ve got, that’s clear.

“You have to see it for what it is, in terms of today, we had to make some changes because of the Champions League and because of the situation that we’re in – boys coming back from injuries.

Agbonlahor adds: “He should be sacked for that post-match interview. ‘We’ve had to make some changes because of the Champions League, we had to bring some different players in against a settled and organised side.’

“What are you talking about? They haven’t got a manager! You’re playing against a team that are in disarray that can’t get back-to-back wins together, and you’re complaining about what?

“You had to bring [Mykhailo] Mudryk off the bench on. You had to start [Joao] Felix, are you joking me?”

O’Hara also claimed that any other manager in Potter’s situation would be receiving more criticism than he is right now.

“And do you know what? If this was Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United, there would be riots right now in terms of how bad this team is.

“Graham Potter is getting away with murder.”

Potter’s side have failed to hit the back of the net in four of their last five matches across all competitions.

In the league this season they have only scored 23 goals, which is the fewest of any side currently in the top half by quite some margin.

Boos rang around Stamford Bridge after their latest defeat and Potter admitted that he understands the…
