Real Madrid are reportedly keeping tabs on Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison as they consider a summer approach, according to reports.

The Brazil international signed for £60m at the beginning of the season but has so far struggled to play consistent minutes under Antonio Conte.

Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti knows Richarlison well from their time together at Everton, so it will be interesting to see if Spurs will allow him to reunite with his former star man.

Indeed, the 25-year-old signed for Tottenham for £60m from Everton last summer, penning a contract with the club until 2027, but due to injuries, he has made just nine starts across all competitions this season.

However, even when he has been fit, the Brazilian has been used infrequently by Conte. The likes of Heung-min Son and Dejan Kulusevski seem to be ahead of him in the pecking order, while the arrival of Arnaut Danjuma has meant more competition for a starting spot.

Understandably, Ancelotti would love to bring Richarlison to the Bernabeu. During the manager’s short stint at Goodison Park between 2019 and 2021, Richarlison notched an impressive 20 goals in 59 matches, also contributing four assists.

He was also one of Everton’s most important players last season, as they narrowly avoided relegation.

Although, they may find it difficult to seal a deal considering he is under contract until 2027 and Spurs are under no pressure to sell.

The report adds that Madrid views the addition of a new forward as ‘essential’ ahead of the 2023-24 campaign. Richarlison has already proved he can score goals at the highest level, so he could be an ideal signing for them.

The LaLiga champions failed in their pursuit of Kylian Mbappe last summer. This season, they have had to rely upon the likes of Rodryo and Vinicius Junior to play as centre-forwards given the injury problems of Karim Benzema, which hasn’t been ideal as they are natural wingers.

This has had an impact on their results too, with Madrid dropping five points in their…
