Former Whites coach strong favourite; Pochettino, Bielsa in the mix

Leeds manager odds - Steven Gerrard, Mauricio Pochettino, Carlos Corberan

Leeds United dismissed head coach Jesse Marsch following the 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest. There are some big names in the mix to replace the American, though one man has quickly emerged as the hot favourite.

All odds are taken from Oddschecker

1) Carlos Corberan
The former Leeds Under-21s boss and first-team assistant to Marcelo Bielsa is already the favourite to replace Marsch, and is as low as evens with some bookies.

The Spaniard left Elland Road to become the main man at Huddersfield Town and did a brilliant job before a tough spell with Olympiakos in Greece. He is now with West Brom and doing spectacularly well. Corberan was linked with Everton, but due to his history with the club, he is a lot more heavily linked with Leeds.

2) Marcelo Bielsa
Bielsa is remarkably one of the favourites to replace his replacement. Would he want a job with the youth academy before taking on the head coach role in the summer, like he requested with Everton? Surely not, as he already knows half the players. He is a club legend and a return would be delicious fun.

3) Mauricio Pochettino
Leeds fans are dreaming here, and so are the bookmakers. Surely not?

4) Ralph Hasenhuttl
Ex-Southampton boss Hasenhuttl has been out of work since November. He, like Corberan and Bielsa, was also a reported Everton target, but that never materialised.

Marsch and Hasenhuttl both managed RB Leipzig; will they both manage Leeds?

5) Marcelo Gallardo
Will another Argentine named Marcelo take the reins at Elland Road? Gallardo is unemployed after leaving River Plate in December. He spent eight-and-a-half years with the South American giants, winning two Copa Libertadores, three Argentine Cups, three Recopa Sudamericanas, and a Copa Sudamericana. He is only 47. He has been a busy boy.

6) Ange Postecoglu
Big Ange is doing a cracking job north of the border. He had a shaky start with Celtic but then p*ssed the league and is doing so again this season. He would be a terrific appointment, but does he know OUR LEAGUE?!

7) Steven Gerrard
Who better to take over a club battling relegation than someone who looked like they were guiding a club far too good for a relegation battle into a relegation battle?

8) Gennaro Gattuso
Now this everyone would love to see. Gattuso recently lost his job as Valencia manager.

9) Thomas Tuchel
Ha.

10) Ruud van Nistelrooy
Van Nistelrooy is in his first…
