To celebrate Republic FC’s tenth season as the Indomitable City’s favorite football club, the organization released the commemorative logo that will be showcased throughout the year. In addition to a special logo, the club will honor the people, places, and moments that have become a foundation for a bright future for soccer in Sacramento.
“As Republic FC moves into our 10th season, it is important for us to look back and honor what brought us to where we are today,” said Republic FC Chairman and CEO Kevin Nagle. “This club has been on an incredible journey, and we’re excited to celebrate the fans and community that have supported us for a decade, with our sights set on beginning the next new era with new highs for this club.”
As the club begins its tenth season and embarks on a new era of soccer in Sacramento, new additions to the club’s brand and identity – including a special mark for the tenth season, will be visible across the team’s channels, on merchandise, and on the club’s kits. The 10th season commemorative logo and related marks will be used to complement the club’s crest and primary logos.
Designed by the club’s creative team, the commemorative logo is anchored in emblems and colors from the team’s founding – Old Glory Red, borrowed from the state flag, and the Star, denoting our status as the capital of the Great State of California as well as the mark of a general for those who lead us into battle. A ring of Unified Red wraps around the shield of Old Glory Red – the second of three reds symbolically linking the three values of the club: Indomitable, Winning Mentality, Unified Community. The outer ring – Resilient Red – is the new element of the club’s identity. This vibrant and bright red conveys excitement, passion, and aggression. As the club moves into a new era, Resilient Red represents the familiarity of our past and the brightness of our future; it will be prominently featured throughout the club’s on-and off-field look this season.
The number “10” makes an appearance in a variety of ways to celebrate the club’s tenth season, along with the years 2014 and 2023 – signifying Republic FC’s inaugural season, as well as the upcoming year. The layers of the 10 in the middle showcase the club’s evolution and progression, from its Old Glory Red roots to this season and Resilient Red.
