Arsenal only team with two players in top 10

Odegaard Saka Arsenal

Here are the Premier League players to have created the most chances this season.

Can anyone beat Kevin De Bruyne to top spot? Almost certainly not. But it could be quite the race for second.

We’ve included the chances created in total as well as the per 90 in brackets to separate the ties. Thanks to Fotmob for the stats.

1) Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City): 56 (3.8)
Opta have not credited De Bruyne with an assist in his last seven Premier League games. Have City signed a goal machine and somehow got worse? This could baffle scientists for decades.

2) Kieran Trippier (Newcastle): 47 (2.6)
Isn’t mentioned in the same breath as younger, more fashionable English full-backs, but there’s no sign of the alternatives on this list with Trent Alexander-Arnold the next highest contender on 31 chances created.

3) Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United): 44 (2.8)
Thriving as the main man at Manchester United again after a season in the shade of Cristiano Ronaldo. A proper, less arrogant striker signing in January to finish off all these chances would surely see Erik ten Hag secure Champions League football in his first season.

4) Andreas Pereira (Fulham): 42 (2.5)
Sorry, who? Seen as something of a joke in his time at Manchester United, Pereira is providing further evidence that it was the club we should have been laughing at.

5) Bukayo Saka (Arsenal): 37 (2.3)
Arsenal’s rise has coincided with that of Saka, who would definitely be more heavily linked with Manchester City if the Gunners weren’t flying. Then again, the Gunners wouldn’t be flying if it weren’t for Saka.

6) Martin Odegaard (Arsenal): 36 (2.4)
It’s turned out to be a very good decision to leave Real Madrid for Arsenal. Odegaard’s slippery, all-action style is perfect for the Gunners. Who’d have thunk it might be the 24-year-old Norwegian lifting the Premier League trophy at season’s end?

7) Mohamed Salah (Liverpool): 36 (2.1)
Even when he wasn’t scoring all that much at the start of the season he was creating; now he is scoring and still creating. Like throwing sh*t at a wall, enough chances provided by Salah should see Darwin Nunez score eventually.

8) James Ward-Prowse (Southampton): 36 (2.0)
Does anyone do anything at Southampton other than Ward-Prowse?

9) Pascal Gross (Brighton): 35 (2.1)
The German really has been a phenomenal signing and is somehow only 31. Long may he continue to be quietly brilliant and create a ludicrous number of chances for…
