Liverpool, Everton and Leeds in race for Championship wonderkid dubbed ‘next Bellingham’

Liverpool, Everton and Leeds are set to battle for the signature of Birmingham City wonderkid George Hall, who has made a fantastic start to his career at St. Andrew’s.

The England under-19s international is being monitored by the Premier League trio, after being likened to another former Birmingham star – Jude Bellingham.

Liverpool may have bigger fish to fry in January, but for Everton and Leeds, Hall may represent a viable first-team option, despite the jump from the Championship being a big one.

Hall has made 18 league appearances this season and has a goal and an assist to his name.

Leeds look set for a midfield revamp in the January window, with Mateusz Klich, who has been at Elland Road since 2017, looking destined for a move to Wayne Rooney’s DC United this winter.

He may be followed out of the club by another midfielder in Adam Forshaw, whose contract expires at the end of the season. As a result, Leeds may look to sell him in January to recoup some transfer funds.

Hall may be an ideal replacement for the two outgoing Leeds players.

As mentioned, the Whites have held a long-term interest in the 18-year-old, and while Birmingham touted a high asking price last…
