December 16, 2022 – Major League Soccer (MLS)FC Cincinnati News Release

FC Cincinnati Foundation, with Dick’s Sporting Goods, supported local youth earlier this month for the third annual Shop Like A Pro event. Two dozen local youth arrived in style courtesy of A Savannah Night limousines to Dick’s Sporting Goods in Kenwood where each student was given $150 to spend for holiday gift shopping.

The evening began with FC Cincinnati Co-CEO Jeff Berding welcoming the youth and introducing who they would be teaming up with for a unique shopping experience. The youth were paired up with FC Cincinnati technical and coaching staff who served as guides to help pick out the perfect gifts while staying on budget.

General Manager Chris Albright, Head Coach Pat Noonan, and former players and current Strength & Conditioning Coach Austin Berry and Club Ambassador Omar Cummings and their families were among the FC Cincinnati staff providing the Greater Cincinnati children with a once-in-a-lifetime shopping experience.

“Shop like a Pro is a special way for FC Cincinnati to kick off the holiday season and is a highlight for our staff each year,” said Kate Solomon, Senior Vice President of Fan & Community Engagement and Executive Director of FCC Foundation. “We appreciate the support of our partners to help make this event such a memorable moment for these deserving kids.”

After the memorable gift searching, the youth were treated to a delicious meal courtesy of Outback Steakhouse followed by dessert from Nothing Bundt Cakes.

Students were selected by their school district to participate.
