Ex-Tottenham midfielder would ‘take’ Maguire in north London but has warning for Man Utd

Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag looks at Harry Maguire

Man Utd are “going to lose money” on Harry Maguire, according to Jamie O’Hara, who approves of a transfer to Tottenham.

The England international moved to Old Trafford for £80m from Leicester City in 2019 and played every match in his first Premier League season for Man Utd, in which they finished third and got to the semi-finals of the FA Cup, League Cup and Europa League.

But Maguire has come under fire from supporters and pundits over his performances over the past couple of seasons with social media jumping on every little mistake he makes.

The Man Utd captain made the England squad for the World Cup in Qatar despite being dropped by new Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag.

“Harry Maguire is a very good defender, we’ve just seen it in the World Cup playing against the best. So, you know, perhaps he does just need to either go if he’s not going to get into the team.

“If he does get in the team, the fans need to back him and the media needs to lay off him. If he plays poorly, you don’t…
