Inter Miami CF to Face Vasco da Gama at DRV PNK Stadium in January

MIAMI – Inter Miami CF announced today it will face CR Vasco da Gama, one of the most successful Brazilian teams, in a preseason friendly at DRV PNK Stadium on Jan. 21 at 7 p.m. ET. Vasco, who will also play River Plate at Exploria Stadium in Orlando on Jan. 17 at 7 p.m. ET during its visit to Florida, becomes the third South American powerhouse to announce Florida Blue Training Center as its home for the 2023 preseason.


Tickets for the Inter Miami CF match against Vasco da Gama, which is the Club’s first announced match in preparation for its 2023 MLS campaign, will be available at a later date. Tickets for the Vasco da Gama and River Plate matchup at Exploria Stadium in Orlando, Fla. are available HERE. Inter Miami CF Season Ticket Members will receive discounted tickets for both matches. Following its most successful regular season yet, with the team achieving a Club-record points total (48), win total (14), goals scored (47), and highest seeding (sixth) in 2022, Inter Miami has begun confirming its preseason schedule to be fully prepared for the 2023 campaign with what will be the team’s third international friendly in Club history. 2022 standouts such as MLS Goalkeeper of the Year finalist Drake Callender, USMNT World Cup defender DeAndre Yedlin, team captain Gregore, MLS 22 Under 22 midfielder and top assist provider Bryce Duke, and young Ecuadorian striker Leandro Campana are some of the returning Inter Miami players for a thrilling 2023.

Established in 1898, Vasco da Gama is currently enjoying a renaissance, with the team being promoted to the Brazilian top flight after a two-year absence. The “Vascão” sit among the top in the list of teams with most Brazilian Série A titles in history with four, while having racked up other numerous triumphs, including having clinched a CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores title and a CONMEBOL Copa Mercosur title. Additionally, the Rio de Janeiro side has seen some of the finest Brazilian players represent the club’s colors, including 1994 FIFA World Cup winners Bebeto and Romario, and free kick maestro Juninho Pernambucano.
