Huge boost for Chelsea, Man Utd as wonderkid ‘open to all clubs’ is ‘studying English’

Endrick celebrates his goal

Brazilian wonderkid Endrick has added fuel to the transfer fire by confirming he is learning English, with Chelsea among those reportedly interested.

The 16-year-old is attracting serious interest from a host of top European clubs.

Tipped to be the next big thing to come out of Brazil, Endrick came through the Palmeiras youth academy and has now scored three in seven for the club’s first-team.

Having scored five in four for Brazil’s under-17 side, the teenage winger is destined for big things with the senior squad in the future.

Chelsea are joined in the race to sign Endrick by Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, and Real Madrid.

The Palmeiras star is hoping to follow in the footsteps of Brazilian stars Vinicius Jr, Neymar, Kaka, and Ronaldinho in becoming a star in Europe.

He is expected to cost €60million – which represents a huge risk considering his age, but could also end up being a bargain if he lives up to his potential.

I’m sure Freddy Adu would have been valued around the same if he broke on the scene this year, and he got nowhere near where he was supposed to in his career.

However, copping a young Ronaldinho in this day and age for €60m would end up being one of the best deals around.

A move to Europe does seem inevitable for Endrick, who has now confirmed he is learning how to speak English.

This is a huge boost for United and Chelsea, who will be happy to see Endrick say he would “like” to play in the Champions League in the not-so-distant future.

He reportedly told Gazzetta: “But I’m not gonna answer about my future club.

“Of course, I’d like to play Champions League in 2, 3 or 4 years.

“I’m open to all the clubs, waiting for the best proposal for me and my family.”

Speaking recently, Endrick’s father said his son has not decided where he will end up.

He said: “There’s nothing decided for Real Madrid or any other club. We’ve no preference yet.

“We’ll decide in the next months, the club that will pay what Palmeiras want and show us the best technical project for Endrick, will sign the boy.”

Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus has been high in praise of the 16-year-old winger.

Jesus told ESPN: “Wow, he’s a star. Phenomenon! He’s 16 now, right? When I was 15, I was in the academy but he’s in the seniors.

“I’m really rooting for him.”
