CLEMSON, S.C. — The  Clemson Tigers will travel to take on the No. 11 Louisville Cardinals at Mark and Cindy Lynn Stadium on Friday, October 21. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. with the match slated to stream live on ACCNX.

The Tigers enter the match 8-4-1 following consecutive losses for the first time this season, both by a score of 2-1 to UNC Greensboro and Virginia.  The Tigers currently sit in fourth place in the Atlantic Division of the ACC while Louisville (8-3-3) resides right above them in third.

Friday marks the ninth meeting between the two programs. Clemson is 4-3-1 all-time against the Cardinals, with the Tigers holding an 18-9 advantage in total goals. Most recently, Clemson convincingly defeated Louisville 5-1 in the 2021 regular seaon finale to clinch a share of its third straight Atlantic Division title.

Tigers’ standout Ousmane Sylla has led the way for Clemson, scoring five goals and notching five assists in just ten matches thus far. He has tallied a point in seven of his 11 games played this season and is third in the ACC in points per game (1.36).

He is joined at the top of Clemson’s scoring leaderboard by senior forward Mohamed Seye, who has assisted three of Sylla’s goals. He’s added three of his own and has also earned four points in two matches, bringing his point total on the season to ten. He’s tied for third most assists in the conference with six.

Louisville comes into the match off a 1-1 tie vs. East Tennessee State. A Clemson win would see the Tigers move into third place in the Atlantic Division.
