The best Premier League youngsters sent on loan in the summer window

Premier League loanees Callum Hudson-Odoi, Tyler Morton and Simon Adingra

After having a ball doing this last year, it would have been rude not to. Here are the best youngsters (23 years old or younger) out on loan from all 20 Premier League clubs.

Arsenal – Folarin Balogun (Stade Reims)
The Gunners are well known for their development of young talent and there are a few good prospects spending time elsewhere this campaign.

Nuno Tavares is at Marseille in France after a difficult debut season in north London, while Charlie Patino is getting some much-needed first-team minutes with Blackpool in the Championship.

Lesser known quantities such as Brooke Norton-Cuffy, Miguel Azeez, Omar Rekik, Mike Biereth, Marcelo Flores and Harry Clarke have also temporarily departed.

We have opted for Balogun, however, who has adapted very quickly to life in Ligue 1. The 21-year-old striker joined Stade Reims after a short spell with Middlesbrough last term. He scored in his opening three league fixtures, becoming the first player to do so for Reims since 1975, before netting another two, making it five goals and two assists in six matches for the French outfit.

Mikel Arteta and co. will be licking their lips at Balogun’s performances. He is on course to score over 30 league goals, for crying out loud! Good going, young man.

Villa have loaned out some darn good talent. The future is certainly bright for the Villans, even if the present is not.

Jaden Philogene-Bidace signed a new contract and joined Cardiff City for the season, Kesler-Hayden is with Huddersfield Town, Tim Iroegbunam joined Queens Park Rangers, Louie Barry is a division below with MK Dons and Aaron Ramsey is pulling on a strip for Norwich City.

Last year, I opted for Barry, but after a bit of research, it’s with a heavy heart that I pick Kesler-Hayden, who many Villa fans have tipped to become the club’s first-choice right-back pretty soon.

Bournemouth – Gavin Kilkenny (Stoke City)
With all due respect, there is not a lot of generational talent out on loan from the Vitality Stadium.

I only had two first-team players to choose from. One has played 23 minutes in League One for Shrewsbury. The other has played 94 minutes in the Championship for Stoke City.

Judging by that, Kilkenny is our man.

The Irish midfielder has played 24 times for Bournemouth, with 18 of his appearances coming last season.

There are a few youth…
