The future of Cristiano Ronaldo has dominated Manchester United’s summer with the Portuguese superstar making no secret of his desire to leave Old Trafford for a Champions League club, but a number of sides have turned down the opportunity to sign the 37-year-old.

It is looking more and more likely he will stay at the club, although there is still a chance he could go to Napoli in a last minute deal.

United are expected to be done for business after completing deals for Antony and Martin Dubravka, who is set to join on loan with an option to buy.

A Ronaldo departure could free up cash for a late move but their current stance is that there will be no more incomings.

Cody Gakpo

Cody Gakpo is another attacker who has been linked with a £38million move to United, but he has also attracted interest from Everton, Fulham, Leeds, Nottingham Forest, Arsenal and Southampton.

Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side are the most interested in the Dutch winger currently, with a departure from PSV for Gakpo more likely after they crashed out of the Champions League to Rangers last week.
