Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele will reportedly receive 50 per cent of any transfer fee should he leave the club in the next two years.

The French international penned a new two-year-deal earlier this summer after much speculation surrounding his future, with the former Borussia Dortmund star out of contract at the end of last season. 

Details of his mega new deal have been revealed according to Spanish publication Sport.

The 25-year-old is set to earn up to £17million a year after signing a new contract at the Catalan club.

He will earn a minimum of £13.5m gross for each year of his contract, with a further £3.4m available in bonuses in both seasons.

This means he could earn almost £34m across his contract after extending his stay at the Nou Camp.

The former Borussia Dortmund star will also receive 50% of any transfer fee if he departs over the next two seasons, with his release clause set at £42m.

It could give the French international financial incentive to leave the club before the end of his deal, as he could net an extra £21m on top of his salary. 

Dembele joined Barcelona in a staggering £120million deal in 2017 but has struggled to make an impact, facing significant injury problems, although he did improve after Xavi took over as manager.
