West Ham have reportedly put a Paris Saint-Germain pair on their shortlist to replace Issa Diop, who’s nearing a £17m switch to Fulham.

According to The Guardian, Diop has asked the Hammers to leave this summer amid strong interest from Marco Silva’s side.

Fulham, who completed the signing of the Republic of Ireland centre-back Shane Duffy on a season-long loan from Brighton last week, are keen to further bolster their defensive options.

And they appear to have landed Issa Diop in a £17m deal from West Ham with a medical expected imminently.

David Moyes, the West Ham manager, said the Frenchman had not “put himself forward to play” in the defeat to Manchester City in a downing of tools, with full-back Ben Johnson instead having to fill in for the injured Craig Dawson.

And the injury to Dawson, who joins Angelo Ogbonna and new signing Nayef Aguerd on the sidelines, will force Moyes into the transfer market to replace Diop.

Foot Mercato (via Sport Witness), claim the Londoners have put a pair of PSG defenders ‘on their shortlist’.

There have been rumours of their interest in Thilo Kehrer for much of the summer and those have intensified in the wake of Diop’s decision.

The 25-year-old defender has made 128 appearances for the Ligue 1 side since his £33.3m move from Schalke in the summer of 2018.

Moyes is also said to be an admirer of Abdou Diallo, 26, who’s made 75 appearances since his £28.8m move from Borussia Dortmund in 2019.

The report claims West Ham covet the versatility of the pair, both of whom can play at centre-back, full-back and in central midfield.

And it’s claimed PSG would be willing to listen to offers for either player.

Speaking after Sunday’s defeat to Manchester City, Moyes admitted they still have “a bit of work to do” in the transfer market this summer.

He said: “We need it and we need to freshen up a bit, we are a bit stale at the moment.

“Look our centre-back [£28million signing Nayef Aguerd] gets injured in a pre-season friendly and we can’t do anything about that. So we have attempted to do it.

“Our centre-forward is getting himself fit. The goalkeeper we signed [Alphonse Areola] plays today after Lukasz [Fabianski] gets injured. You can see we’ve still got a bit of work to do.”
