Union II Record Third Consecutive Win; Bueno Secures First Career MLS Next Pro Brace

CHESTER, Pa. – Philadelphia Union II took on FC Cincinnati 2 at Mercy Health Training Center on Sunday night, ending with a 3-2 win. With the win, Union II are now tied for fifth in the Eastern Conference with 26 points. Midfielder Jesus Bueno would put Union II ahead in the 24th minute after slotting a close-ranged shot into the bottom left corner of the goal following a corner kick. In the 51st minute, forward Chris Donovan doubled the Union lead with a right footed shot from just outside the box, slipping it past the outstretched reach of the Cincinnati keeper, assisted by Jesus Bueno. Cincinnati would quickly grab a goal back in the 54th minute as Arquimides Ordonez scored a right footed shot off a cross sent in by Morgan Marshall. Bueno earned his first MLS Next Pro brace in the 57th minute after receiving a pinpoint pass in the box from Paxten Aaronson and striking across goal and into the bottom right corner of the net. Cincinnati claimed a final goal in the 85th minute as Kai Thomas won a header off a corner kick sent in by Harrison Robledo.
