SEATTLE, WASH. – Major League Soccer today announced its roster for the 2022 MLS All-Star Game presented by Target on August 10 in Minnesota (5:30 p.m. PT / ESPN, Univision, TSN, TVA), with Sounders FC having two players selected for the honor. Raúl Ruidíaz and Jordan Morris were among the 28-man roster that will face the Liga MX All-Stars at Allianz Field. This marks the second consecutive year Ruidíaz has been voted in, while Morris earns his first nod to the squad after being selected by MLS All-Star and Minnesota United FC Head Coach Adrian Heath.

Of the 26 MLS All-Star players, 12 were selected through a combination of fan, player and media voting, 12 were selected by Heath and two were selected by MLS Commissioner Don Garber.

The 2022 MLS All-Star Game presented by Target is set for Wednesday, August 10 at Allianz Filed in Minnesota and will be broadcast live on ESPN and Univision in the U.S., TSN and TVA Sports in Canada, on ESPN throughout Mexico and Latin America, and in more than 190 countries around the world. FORWARD RAÚL RUIDIAZ

Currently tied with Morris with five goals this season, Ruidíaz earns his second consecutive All-Star nod in 2022. Signed by Seattle as a Designated Player in the 2018 summer transfer window, Ruidíaz has been one of the league’s most prolific goal-scorer in his four-and-a-half seasons in MLS. The Peruvian has scored 64 MLS goals (including postseason) since making his debut in July of 2018, in addition to ranking second in club history in goals across all competitions (69) behind Fredy Montero. His nine postseason goals rank first in club history, helping lead the club to two MLS Cup Final appearances and the 2019 title.

FORWARD JORDAN MORRIS

After missing almost the entire 2021 season due to an ACL tear suffered while on loan with Swansea City, Morris has had a bounce back year in 2022, recording five goals this season, tied with Ruidíaz for most on the team. He also has three assists on the year, tied for third for the Rave Green. His 50 goals across all competitions rank fifth all-time…
