St. Louis Ambush Sign Defender Tyler Turner

St. Charles, Missouri – The St. Louis Ambush have signed free agent defender Tyler Turner to a three-year contract, the team announced today. Per league and team policies, no further details of the deal were disclosed.


Turner is a native of Milford, Connecticut. He played high school soccer at Notre Dame High School in West Haven, Connecticut and club soccer at the South Central Premier Soccer Club in Meriden, Connecticut.

Turner comes to the Ambush with both professional and semi-pro experience including playing for the Orlando SeaWolves (2018-19) and Milwaukee Wave (2021) in the MASL. His outdoor experience includes stints with Orlando City SC (MLS and USL-Pro), Orlando City-B (USL), Los Angeles Galaxy (MLS), and Birmingham Legion (USL).

Last season with Milwaukee, Turner appeared in 22 games, posting four goals, three assists and blocking 24 opponent shots.

Ambush General Manager and Head Coach Jeff Locker said, “We are impressed with Tyler’s skill and energy and look forward to his continued development as a member of the Ambush.” Turner said he is excited for this opportunity with the Ambush and that he “can’t wait to show my teammates, the city and the fans what I’ve got. The most important thing for me is winning games and giving it my all. My goal is to bring a championship to St. Louis and I will do whatever needs to be done to make this happen.”
