MATCH STORYLINES:

Home is Where the Wins Are: VFC returns home to Willoughby Park where the team has found the most success in the fledgling franchise history. The Eagles are on a two-game win streak at home, which ties the franchise record for longest win streak at home set last season, to start the year. The team found the most chemistry also at home last season, earning a record of 5-6-3 which included three wins in the final five home games.

Dy-er for Goals: Moses Dyer scored his second goal of 2024 in VFC’s last match to now lead the squad in goals scored. Dyer’s two goals also puts him at the top of the CPL standings as an early Golden Boot contender, tied with seven other players.

Delivery Man: Vasco Fry registered his first assist of the season on Dyer’s goal in the team’s last match against CAV off his free kick into the box. Fry currently leads the league in crosses and corners with 13 deliveries and has registered nine chances created in the team’s five games, across all competitions, this year.
