Oalex Anderson Named to St. Vincent & the Grenadines National Team Roster for Concacaf Nations League Round One

CARY, NC – North Carolina FC forward Oalex Anderson has been named to the St. Vincent & the Grenadines National Team roster for four upcoming Concacaf Nations League Round One matches, the club announced today.

The first of these matches will take place on June 3 at 5 p.m. ET against the Bahamas, the second will take place on June 6 at 3 p.m. ET against Nicaragua. Later, on June 10 and June 13, the squad will take on Trinidad & Tobago at 3 p.m. ET and 7 p.m. ET, respectively. Each competition will be available to stream on Paramount+.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to represent my country on the international stage once more,” Anderson said. “My focus is helping my country get into the next Gold Cup, that of course has to be the next big thing in all of our sights.”

An integral component of the NCFC offense, Anderson has scored three goals and added three assists in seven appearances, earning back-to-back USL League One Team of the Week accolades in Week Six and Week Seven of the regular season. For his country, the 26-year-old has registered 30 caps, 2,342 minutes of playing time, 14 goals, and one assist, his most recent appearance taking place during a match against the British Virgin Islands in March of 2021.

In its second season since its inception in 2018, the Concacaf Nations League is an international competition between the 41 member associations of Concacaf. It is divided into three tiered leagues, A, B, and C, of four groups each, with promotion and relegation between the leagues based on finishing position within groups.
