Report names two Red Devils stars ‘involved in heated altercation earlier this month’

According to reports, Man Utd duo Alex Telles and Hannibal Mejbr were ‘involved in a heated exchange’ at the club’s training ground ‘earlier this month’.

The 2021/22 campaign was a poor one for the Red Devils. They exited each cup competition prematurely and their fortunes did not improve after Ralf Rangnick replaced Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Man Utd finished sixth on 58 points. This is their lowest points total in the history of the Premier League.

In the aftermath of their 4-0 loss against Brighton, it was reported that two Man Utd players had a ‘full-on scrap’ at the training ground.

The Daily Mail have now expanded on this. They claim that Telles and Mejbri were the players involved in the altercation.

It is said that ‘the mood in an already despondent camp had grown worse’ in the lead up to this incident.

Before the clash between Telles and Mejbri, Cristiano Ronaldo, Raphael Varane, Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes ‘called a meeting with Rangnick to request a change of tactics’.

Elsewhere, Gary Neville still maintains Antonio Conte wouldn’t be the “right manager” for Manchester United:

“I named Son as my Player of the Season. It could have easily gone to Kevin De Bruyne because every time we watch him we’re blessed. Salah, easily could have been Player of the Season, I think I named him in other quarters.

“But Son, to do what he’s done at Tottenham, he does get respected, and he’d be taken by any top club in the world, but I thought he deserves something.

“He’s a special player. He gets overshadowed by everybody, even Harry Kane, but well done to him, Tottenham and Antonio Conte.

“We were at the North London Derby 10 days ago and even if Arsenal had beaten Newcastle, I still think Antonio Conte would have stayed because of what he experienced that night. Where are you going to get this competitive element, these atmospheres in Europe…
