VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC kicked off their third straight home game at BC Place with a 3-3 draw against Western Conference foes San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday afternoon.

As the first half progressed with both sides hunting for the opening goal, ‘Caps goalkeeper Cody Cropper saved a Cristian Espinoza shot just outside the box inside the 21st minute of the match.

San Jose continued to press, as Espinoza crossed a ball inside the box to forward Jeremy Ebobisse, his header was then denied by Cropper in the 34th minute.

The ‘Caps then looked for the momentum to swing their way, as Brian White’s one touch pass led to Ryan Raposo curling a shot right outside the top corner of the net in the 40th minute of the game.

The ‘Quakes pace from Cowell led to another counter attack as he fed the ball inside the box to Espinoza, his pass then gave Ebobisse a brace in the 81st minute of the match.

The scoring was not done. Following a corner from Caicedo, Érik Godoy’s low finish levelled the match at the 91st minute.
