AUSTIN, Texas – Playing their 10th match during the 2022 MLS Regular Season, the LA Galaxy earned a 1-0 shutout victory on the road over Austin FC at Q2 Stadium on Sunday night. Mark Delgado scored his first career goal as a member of the Galaxy, while Jonathan Bond notched his fifth shutout of the season.

In seven matches played across all competitions dating back to April 3, LA holds a record of 5-1-1, outscoring its opponents 8-3 during that span. Since April 3, the Galaxy have dealt LAFC their only loss of the 2022 season and handed Austin its first defeat at Q2 Stadium this year. The Galaxy’s six wins in league play this year ranks tied for second in the league with Austin FC, behind only LAFC (7). Additionally, LA (6-3-1, 19 points) ranks third in the Supporters’ Shield race behind only LAFC (7-1-2, 23 points) and Austin FC (6-2-2, 20 points).
