Edinson Cavani has confessed he may have left Manchester United if he knew Cristiano Ronaldo was arriving last summer, but is glad to have worked with his fellow forward.

Cavani is approaching the end of his time as a Manchester United player. He will become a free agent in the summer and is likely to find a new club. His second season in Manchester has not been as productive as his first.

Indeed, a range of factors have affected Cavani. Injuries have not helped his chances of gametime. Meanwhile, the presence of Ronaldo up front has pushed him down the pecking order when available.

Ronaldo returned to Manchester United from Juventus last summer. His move came shortly after Cavani had agreed to a one-year extension to his initial contract with the club.

The Portugal legend has scored 24 goals from 38 games this term. In contrast, Cavani has two from 18.
